We've been holding onto these vintage pendants for years, waiting for just the right inspiration to strike. When it did, these came together beautifully. The pendants are deadstock vintage, believed to be from the middle east or India. With an antique finish and set with a piece of polished black onyx. We have teamed them with lots of recycled black beads, vintage beads and dyed turquoise stones recycled from an old belt. A necklace for the dreamers. Designed and made by Sarah, the dreamcatcher was made by upcyling an old habadashery hoop with second hand thread and beads. From it hang three feathers, each set with a vintage bead to add weight. It's then been embellished with yet more vintage beads and set on suede recycled from an old tasselled bag. This was thrifted and dyed a forest green by Sarah - who then realised the stitching was polycotton and didn't die so remained white. So, what do you do? Roll with it and add some more white embroidery up the sides, done by drawing freehand with the sewing machine. Miniskirt fit with a zip up the back. This beauty is made up of patches of rose printed fabric, overdyed this sunshine hue and finished off with embroidery all over. It has a relaxed fit in the body, rounded neckline, coconut buttons to fasten and little front pockets. The cotton is mid-weight and cosy to wear, this would work equally well as a cardigan layered under a coat for winter or for festivals in the summer. This has been lightly repaired along a couple of patchwork seams and still has 1-2 small holes, reflected in price.
