Fairly traded, lightly used in our home and now time to pass it on. Swings open on a hinge on the paisley point, deep and big enough to put lots of jewellery in or things like essential oils. One side has a curved edge and the other is straight, showing its initial use was to be used on a single bed and drape over the edges. Beautiful soft colours of the sunrise, with peachy pinks, mustard yellow and burnt orange. The scene depicts a view over some adorable little houses set in the countryside, with hills and the sky as you move further up. What we really love is the texture on this; thick bobbles depicting the ground and the addition of ropes and string to denote the suns rays covering everything. This gorgeous piece was made back in 1981 by Afro Weavers, sadly although printed on the tag, there's no information about the person who made it. Pieces like this are highly valuable and worth every penny - smaller pieces are currently selling for more money on second hand sites!
